Manchester United are set to miss out on signing Jadon Sancho this summer as he has decided to stay at Borussia Dortmund, according to reports.
The 19-year-old has established himself as one of Europe’s most in-demand young talents following his sublime performances this season.
Sancho has scored 12 goals and registered 19 assists this season and has been a key part of Dortmund’s Bundesliga title challenge.
The winger has attracted interest from several clubs and as exclusively revealed by Metro.co.uk in January, United have been considering a move for several months. But according to The Sun, Sancho will reject a switch to Old Trafford and wants to remain at Dortmund for another year.
Sancho is planning to stay with Dortmund for another season.
The report also claims that Dortmund’s hierarchy are ‘certain’ that Sancho will stay with them.
United, meanwhile, have reportedly been working on an alternative deal to sign Swansea City’s Daniel James.
